It was this image that inspired me to share some of my favourite apartments I've come across. Although we are worlds apart in our style of living, there is SO much to learn from the New Yorker way of life. Less space = more deliberate living. Which doesn't always mean minimalism. These homes really look like a home, which is what I love. The other thing about New York style is it's so eclectic, New Yorkers have the knack for appreciating the historical, and mixing it with the now. Enjoy these articles for some eclectic design inspiration.
This designer apartment found on New York Spaces is so stylish, but what I love about it is it screams with personality. It's lived in, and has character, but is lifted into glamour with the abundance of edgy and interesting art.
If you're a fan of The Good Wife, then you'll love having a snoop around in Julianna Margulie's apartment. SPOILER ALERT I think I was more upset when Will died than when it actually finished, that ending? Let's not talk about it. Let's talk about this glorious light filled apartment instead. It's next level NYC.
Although you might think NYC apartments are tiny, this is next level tiny. The design of these micro apartments is all about functionality and maximising space. I LOVE this kind of design thinking, and even if the camera trickery is making it look bigger, I do think this could be doable!
A garage door, but not for what you think. There's not that many actual garage spaces in Manhattan. This is some more innovative thinking in the architecture design process. So excellent. That view!
