Style + Space wants to help you create a space you love, so we are starting a new regular thing, and calling it Fave 4's. Rather self explanatory, it will be a quick rundown of 4 of our favourite things from a particular category. Today, it's cushions! Because everyone loves a good cushion. Today's Fave 4 has been collated by Eliza, who will be contributing regularly to the Style + Space blog. She's an amazing girl, passionate about interiors, who is living in (my kindred city) New York. Find out more about her here, and check out her top picks for cushions this week...
Cushions are a great way to add colour, texture and interest to a space. By updating your cushions seasonally or simply when they are looking a bit tired you can create a completely different feel in your home. Cushions are a relatively inexpensive way to freshen up your living room or bedroom and there are some great ones in your local homewares store or online boutiques if you are after something a bit more unique. With so many beautiful cushions on the market at the moment we have come up with our four favourites to inspire a new colour pallet or merely to add to your current collection. Enjoy!
The perfect cushion to add to your home if you are hanging out for summer to arrive! A fresh take on the palm print we have seen for a few seasons now. This cushion has a more whimsical feel and almost looks like watercolour, which is very popular at the moment. You can find this one from Freedom here.
We are seeing this dusty blush tone in lots of spaces, and with good reason! It is such a beautiful colour to add to your home if you are a fan of a more subdued and neutral colour pallet. Pair it with other soft toned cushions or use it behind patterned cushions for a layered effect. This cutie comes from Adairs here.
This cushion by Mrs Darcy is so much fun and will brighten up any room in the house. The contrasting colours work so well together and the pom poms add an extra bit of character. Mrs Darcy does some amazing watercolour cushions in a variety of bright colours but this charcoal and pink is definitely a favourite!
This hand painted royal Blue and Nude cushion from Hunting For George is perfect for adding a pop of colour to any space. It is designed, printed and hand-made in Australia. If you are looking for a beautifully designed cushion and don’t mind spending a little bit more then this one is for you!
